What’s a twin flame?
A twin flame is a soulmate with whom you are reconnecting in this lifetime to do the deepest work on your self to be at the cutting edge of your evolution. It’s fire meets fire to create a wild alchemical spark that pushes you beyond the edges of yourself to find your truth and power.

That’s my rough definition of a twin flame. Here’s everything I know about twin flames, not based on any research at all, but just from own experience. So not all of what I say would most likely fit your situation, so please take only what resonates.1I’m essentially telling you my story in second person and in the form of platitudes

I should preface not everybody meets their twin flame.

You may not believe in soulmates2Or shall I say, maybe you used to or still secretly fantasize that there is such a thing as soulmates, finding your own true partner that fits you so perfectly, but your ego and life experience told you otherwise. That it’s delusional and not good to hold a fictitious idea that your soulmate is out there because you’ll constantly measure these impossible standards to your current partner and will be sorely disappointed. until you meet your twin flame. Because when you drop in with your twin flame, you will feel this deep connection with them that is unlike any other connection that you have ever experienced. It feels like you know them “from another lifetime.” And so you can’t help but to believe that there is such a thing as “past lives” and that maybe we are all eternal souls reincarnating from one life to another. In other words, meeting your twin flame may entail a complete conceptual shift about life, death and rebirth.

Your twin flame may have been orbiting around you for some time maybe just as friends or acquaintances and it never occurred to you that you should be with this person. They may initially seem like they’re not your type. Maybe there was something about them that your ego found unattractive and repellent.

Usually a twin flame comes into your life during or right after you’ve experienced some kind of inner shift. Or right after you’ve made some declaration or movement towards change.3For example, if you were dating serial monogamously for quite some time and had just broken up with your previous partner, you might declare, “I’m done with monogamy and looking for ‘the one.’ I think I want to be open or poly or a unicorn. I just want to explore and play with no strings attached.”

The sequence of events that leads you to find this uncanny pocket of time and space to drop in with your twin flame will feel “magical” or very improbable. You may start to notice “synchronicities” are happening. And now you’re very sensitive to tracking them.4And as you know, the more sensitive you are to tracking the synchronicities that are guiding you, the more you see and feel that you are living a very magical and purposeful life.

You will only be able to “see” your twin flame only when the veil of your ego has been lifted.5If you haven’t experienced your spiritual awakening and can see through your third eye or soul’s eyes, then sometimes acid, shrooms, MDMA and DMT might help thin the veil. Just saying.

When you see your “twin flame” as the soulmate that they are, you may then be slightly aware that you have this thing called an ego that didn’t allow you to see their true soul until now. You have a slight epiphany: Your ego colors your perception of reality with judgments. When you judge someone or something, you put them in some category or box that you dismiss. So when you judge some-thing/one, you cease to see, get to know or understand that thing or person you judge. Basically if you’re a judgy person, you’ll probably never meet your twin flame, because they are not what you think. They are typically not your type. And you would dismiss them as not right for you.

Twin flames are perfect complements to you. What they lack is what you excel in, and what they excel in is what you lack. And therefore you have A LOT to learn from each other.

The falling in love with your twin flame will be like fireworks. It is the most magical and awe-inspiring period you have ever experiences. The highs of the ecstatic union is nothing short of psychedelic. You have never fallen so deeply before and you have never felt more connected with anyone before. Everything that you feel is an unprecedented experience. You never thought you could be this in love. It leads you to believe that this is the person you are meant to be with.

Foreshadow: It’s this feeling that you are meant to be with this person that will lead you to stay in this relationship far longer than you ever would in any relationship.

Here’s the thing (and more foreshadowing): Not all twin flames are meant to stay together for the rest of their life as romantic partners.

Twin flame relationships (TFR) is a relationship that is all about pushing you to grow. You will connect with your twin flame at the ripe time, in which you are ready to evolve and grow.6This might be during your Saturn Return, which is around the age of 27-32 years old.
A twin flame is exactly how it sounds. Their flame is a perfect match and twin to yours. Your flame creates a shadow of their flame that mirrors the shadow of your flame that is created with their flame meeting yours.7Sorry that’s very convoluted, what I mean to say is that your flame and shadow mirrors theirs perfectly . As in each of your flames are casting a very visible shadow of each other’s flames so that you can see your shadow and theirs very clearly. No other soul can reveal to you your shadow as clearly as a twin flame.
In every relationship you’ve had prior to your TFR you were blind to your own shadow. You didn’t even know that you have this thing called a shadow and that’s because your ego did a great job of obscuring it to you and the world around you.
